The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation confirmed the readiness of Rosseti South for the winter

The Ministry of Energy of Russia confirmed the readiness of Rosseti South (PJSC IDGC of the South) for the heating season 2019/2020.   The corresponding edict “On the results of the assessment of the readiness of electric power entities to work in the heating season 2019 - 2020” of the department is published on the organization’s website.
The company’s branches completed the full annual maintenance program. Company repaired over 1.3 thousand km of overhead power lines of various power types and cleared 458 ha of overhead power lines routes from trees and shrubs in the Rostov region. Specialists of the Volgograd branch cleared over 330 hectares of overhead lines routes from trees and shrubs and repaired 796 km of overhead lines of 0.4-110 kV. Over 30 km of overhead power lines and over 680 km of cable lines were prepared for winter in the city of Volgograd. Over 751 km of 0.4-110 kV overhead power lines were repaired, 437 ha of overhead power lines routes were cleared in the Astrakhan region. About 130 km of 0.4-110 kV overhead power lines were repaired and more than 19 hectares of overhead power lines routes were cleared from trees and shrubs. The company’s specialists, as part of the maintenance program, repaired over 40 power transformers and more than 3.3 thousand units of switching equipment in total.
More than 630 brigades consisting of 3,2 thousand specialists and 1.6 thousand pieces of equipment are ready to carry out emergency recovery work in case of emergency situations at Rosseti South. There are 40 mobile brigades (245 of employees) and 105 units of special equipment. The company’s teams are equipped with 287 backup power sources with a total capacity of 5.99 MW.
Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti South, commenting on the receipt of a availability certificate, noted: “Specialists of all company branches in full and in strict accordance with the established deadlines have completed all planned activities to prepare for work during the cold weather. I’m sure that the professionalism and thorough training of our employees will ensure the reliability, stability and quality of energy supply for customers in difficult winter conditions. ”
