The supply of green electricity to Rosseti South's distribution grids increased by 21% in 2022

In 2022, the distribution networks of Rosseti South received 3.5 billion kWh of electricity from renewable energy sources, which is 21% more than in 2021. The share of “green” energy in the overall structure of supply to the grid was 13.2% compared to 10.1% in 2021.

In the reporting period, the amount of electricity supply by wind power generation was 2.4 billion kWh (an increase of 29.2%), by solar power generation – 570 million kWh (an increase of 23%), and by hydrogeneration – 572 million kWh (the same as in 2021).

The largest amount of electricity was supplied to the grid by generating facilities operating on the basis of renewable energy sources: 1.9 million kWh in Rostov Oblast, and 856 million kWh in Kalmykia. The amount of electricity from renewable energy sources amounted to 467 million kWh in Volgograd Oblast, and 289 million kWh in Astrakhan Oblast.

There are currently five wind power plants and one hydro power plant producing electricity in Rostov Oblast, and three wind power plants and three solar power plants in Kalmykia. 13 solar power plants are generating RES in Astrakhan Oblast, nine of which transmit "green" energy to the Rosseti South grids. Two solar power plants and one wind power plant, one sluice and one small hydropower plant are generating energy in Volgograd Oblast.
