The Volgograd branch of Rosseti South held the ceremonial event to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. Power engineers paid tribute to the fallen in the great battle that turned the tide of World War II.
First Deputy Director General of Rosseti South PJSC, Pavel Goncharov, and director of the Rosseti South PJSC branch - "Volgogradenergo", Alexey Rybin, and employees of the power company participated in the official meeting and ceremony to rebury the remains of fallen soldiers discovered during the latest search and exploration expeditions "Memory Watch-2022". The event was held at the war memorial cemetery of Soviet soldiers in the village of Rossoshka, Gorodishche Region. Power engineers honored the memory of the heroes by bowing their heads at the foot of the sculpture of the Grieving Woman. Among the 180 reburied soldiers, 18 were found by members of " The Energy of the Victory" search team of the company’s Volgograd Branch, and the "Guard", "Stalingrad" and "Unmarked Height" teams of Volgograd regional youth public organization "Search”.
At the stele in the former Nazi concentration camp "DULAG-205", the power engineers bowed to honor the memory of prisoners tortured by the Nazis on the land of Stalingrad. Flowers were placed at the communal grave of Soviet soldiers in the Village of Verkhnyaya Yelshanka and at the stele "To the Heroic Power Engineers" on the territory of the Pravoberezhnye Power Grid Production Unit.
Flowers and garlands were further laid at the Eternal Flame, to which the company's employees proceeded in a solemn column along the Alley of Heroes.
