Rosseti South invests more than 5 billion rubles in the modernization of the energy complex

Rosseti South will allocate 5.1 billion rubles for the development of the power grid complex in Rostov, Volgograd, Astrakhan regions and the Republic of Kalmykia in 2021.

Power engineers will commission 523 km of power transmission lines and 611 MVA of transformer capacity in 2021.
The main directions of the investment program implementation are reconstruction, technical re-equipment of the power grid complex and technological connection of wind power facilities. Construction of two modern highly automated substations in the Rostov and Volgograd regions for wind power plants with a total transformer capacity of over 289 MVA has begun this year.
Rosseti South invested 7.5 billion rubles in new facilities and reconstruction in 2020. The largest projects are digital substations for transferring the electricity to the grid from renewable energy generation facilities in the Rostov Region and the Republic of Kalmykia. The increase in transformer capacity amounted to 223.5 MVA in 2020. More than 780 km of power transmission lines were commissioned.
