According to the results of the first nine months of 2025, the distribution grids of Rosseti South branches received about 2.5 bln kWh of energy from renewable energy sources (RES). The share of “green” energy is 12.2 % in the overall structure of supply to the grid.
During the reporting period, the amount of electricity supply by wind power generation amounted to almost 1.4 billion kWh, by hydro generation — 468 million kWh, and by solar — 657 million kWh.
The largest amount of electricity was supplied to the grid by generating facilities operating on the basis of renewable energy sources: more than 1,2 billion kWh in Rostov Region and 618 million kWh in Kalmykia. The amount of electricity generated by renewable energy sources was 305 million kWh in Volgograd Region and 325 million kWh in Astrakhan Region.
There are currently six wind power plants and one hydro power plant producing electricity in Rostov Region and three wind power plants and four solar power plants in Kalmykia. In the Astrakhan region, renewable energy generation is represented by 13 solar power plants. Two solar power plants and one wind power plant, one sluice hydropower plant and one small hydropower plant are generating “green” energy in Volgograd Region. More than 20 RES generation facilities are connected to the grid in the regions of Rosseti South activity.
