Andrey Ryumin held a meeting on the Rosseti Group's current tasks in the South of Russia

Rosseti Group CEO Andrey Ryumin held a meeting during a working visit to the Southern Federal District to discuss ensuring reliable electricity supply to the region during the New Year holidays. Plans for infrastructure development and the completion of the merger of the subsidiaries Rosseti South and Rosseti Kuban were also discussed.

 It was noted that a record tourist flow is expected in the Southern Federal District during the holidays – more than 500 thousand people will visit the Krasnodar Territory alone. The widespread use of electrical appliances in hotels and restaurants, along with the high volumes of operation by transport companies and stores, will lead to increased loads on the power grid.

 "We significantly increased the size of the repair program in the southern regions, allocating over 10.5 billion rubles this year. Now we need to strengthen monitoring of grid facilities and ensure a prompt response to any power outages. Additional attention must be paid to resort areas and transport infrastructure," said Andrey Ryumin.

 Over 1,300 teams – more than 7,000 people and 3,000 pieces of equipment – ​​are ready to carry out emergency recovery operations. In case of emergency, electricity supply to consumers can be provided from 578 backup sources with a total capacity of 68 MW.

 In addition to addressing production challenges, PJSC Rosseti's branch, MES South, and its subsidiary, Rosseti South, continue to work on infrastructure development. In 2025, several major projects were implemented in Kuban, Rostov and Volgograd regions. Andrey Ryumin emphasized that the 2026 priority will be the implementation of high-capacity energy storage systems in the Southern Federal District. In addition, it is planned to launch substations, which will strengthen Krasnodar power supply system.
