Smart meters saved 27.9 million rubles in Rosseti South branches in the first quarter of 2021

Rosseti South specialists in the Volgograd and Astrakhan regions installed almost 6.6 thousand smart metering devices of electricity in the 1st quarter of 2021 alone. Reduction of electricity losses with their installation amounted to 9.3 million kWh in the first three months of this year. The economic effect from the installation of smart metering devices is 27.9 million rubles.

This amount of saved electricity is equivalent, for example, to the consumption of the 20 thousandth city of Kotelnikovo in the Volgograd Region for two months.

As of today, over 250 thousand smart metering devices have been installed in all regions of Rosseti South presence. The installation of smart metering devices allows not only to improve the quality and accuracy of electricity metering, but also to promptly identify the centers of its losses, and provide intelligent energy consumption management. When using them, the consumer gets the opportunity to remotely and at any time receive information about the schedule of energy consumption, its volumes and, on the basis of this data, optimize his costs. This equipment allows to switch to multi-tariff energy metering, when the use of energy-intensive household appliances can be partially transferred to night hours.
