Rosseti South reduced overdue accounts receivable by 1.9 billion rubles in 2022

Rosseti South PJSC reduced overdue accounts receivable of customers for electric power transmission services by 1.9 billion rubles (29.5%) in 2022. On January 1 of this year it amounted to 4.6 billion rubles. The essential part of the debt – 41,3% – falls on regional guaranteeing suppliers.
The change of this index is due to the implementation of existing agreements on debt restructuring with guaranteeing suppliers of electricity - Astrakhan Power Supply Company PJSC and Volgogradenergosbyt PJSC. The decrease in debt last year was primarily due to the payment of part of the debt by guaranteed suppliers in all regions of company activities - in Astrakhan, Volgograd and Rostov Regions, as well as in Kalmykia. For example, overdue accounts receivable decreased to 668 million rubles as a whole in the Astrakhan region. The main debtor, Astrakhan Power Supply Company PJSC, reduced its debt by 63%, to 609 million rubles. Volgogradenergosbyt PJSC reduced the overdue debt by almost 29%, to 979 million rubles. Overall, the overdue debt of counterparties to the Volgograd branch of Rosseti South decreased by 22% to 3 billion rubles at the end of the year. In Kalmykia, where Rosseti South has been performing the functions of a guaranteed supplier for two years, the overdue accounts receivable decreased by 3.6% to 421 million rubles. Overdue accounts receivable of customers decreased by 7% and amounted to 570 million rubles in the Rostov region as of January 1 of this year. Despite the positive dynamics, customers' overdue receivables for electricity transport services remain unacceptably high. This is a limiting factor for the development and modernization of the network complex, while the need of regional residents to connect to the infrastructure is increasing and the need for the introduction of modern domestic technologies is growing. The systematic solution of these problems is impossible without timely payments for the services provided.
