"Green" electricity accounts for 7% in the total structure of supply to the network Rosseti South

01.04.2021

For the first two months of 2021, distribution network of Rosseti South received 342 million kWh of electricity from the renewable energy sources. The share of “green” energy is 7% in the overall structure of supply to the network.

The largest volume of electricity was supplied to the grid by renewable sources of Rostov region (267.3 million kWh) and Republic of Kalmykia (53.4 kWh). This amount of electricity is equivalent, for example, to the consumption of a large industrial enterprise over the course of a year.

Experts note the dynamic development of RES generation in the South of Russia. Gukovskaya, Sulinskaya, Kamenskaya wind-power stations have started to supply the wholesale electricity market in the Rostov region in 2020. In Kalmykia, there are Tselinskaya and Salynskaya wind power plants in the Tselinny district, the Funtovo wind farm in the Yustinsky district, as well as Maloderbetovskaya and Yashkulskaya solar power plants (SPP). 13 solar power plants with a total capacity of 285.2 MW have been commissioned in the Astrakhan region over the past 4 years. Today, the Astrakhan region is one of the five regions with the most developed alternative energetics.

“An important role in the implementation of renewable energy project is played by the technological connection of new power stations to a unified power grid. The generation of new amount of electricity, first of all, will allow to increase the reliability of energy supply without causing environmental damage, and improve the investment attractiveness of the region, ”said Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti South.
